Dysphoriana.com is created by a group of people who recognize the importance of our generalized group psychological state on our society. As a society, our gestalt sucks, and that’s a problem.
Read the first post: Dysphoriana : It’s Where We Live Now
Nearly every aspect of our daily lives is impacted by our state of being, and when that state gets negative, the spiral down into negative unhappiness accelerates. At some point, we pass a psychological threshold beyond which it will be very, very difficult to return to hope or positivity.
I collect our group thoughts and solicit essays and commentary for publishing here. I believe we are already beyond that threshold. I believe the average American is so dysphoric in general, that we are collectively blind to our reality, and most are individually incapable of working our way out of it.
Once beyond the threshold, ignorant of our bias, we are living in Dysphoriana: a collective state of mind that enables the decay of our society into a very real, physical dystopia.
We want to explore where we are… explore Dysphoriana, as it pervades everything we do in our day to day.
